Terms of Service

Welcome to Bilscore. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("user", "you") and Bilscore ("we", "our", "us") governing your access to and use of the Bilscore platform, including our website, mobile app, USSD services, and WhatsApp bot (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

To use Bilscore, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be a resident of Nigeria
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Not be barred from using our Services under Nigerian law or previously suspended by us

For business accounts, the individual registering must be authorized to act on behalf of the business and provide a valid CAC registration number.

When you register, you'll receive a wallet with a dedicated virtual account number, login credentials, and a transaction PIN.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your credentials secure — password, transaction PIN, and access to your linked WhatsApp number
• All activity under your account — you're liable for transactions made using your credentials, whether authorized by you or not
• Notifying us immediately — if you suspect unauthorized access by emailing support@bilscore.com
• Keeping your details current — update your contact information in your profile

We will never ask for your PIN, password, or full card details over WhatsApp, email, phone, or any other channel. If someone claims to be from Bilscore and asks for these, it's a scam — report it to us immediately.

Bilscore provides the following services:

• Airtime top-up — for MTN, Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile
• Mobile data — for all major Nigerian networks
• Electricity bill payments — for all distribution companies (DisCos) in Nigeria
• Cable TV subscriptions — DSTV, GOtv, and Startimes
• Educational pins — WAEC, JAMB, NECO, and result checkers
• Scheduled payments — pre-order electricity tokens for future delivery
• Referral rewards — earn bonuses for inviting friends

We route transactions through regulated third-party vendors. While we aim for 100% success, we don't guarantee every transaction will succeed — third-party network outages, insufficient vendor balance, and other issues beyond our control can cause failures.

Funding your wallet

You fund your wallet by transferring money to your dedicated virtual account number issued by our banking partner. Transfers are credited instantly upon successful receipt.

Transactions

• All transactions are debited from your wallet in Nigerian Naira (₦)
• Some transactions require PIN confirmation, depending on your settings
• You cannot reverse a successful transaction once airtime, data, tokens, or pins have been delivered
• If a transaction fails after debiting your wallet, we automatically process a refund within a reasonable time

Withdrawals

Wallet balance is not a bank deposit and does not earn interest. Withdrawals are not supported for end users — your wallet is designed for purchases, not for storing funds. Please only fund what you intend to spend.

Prices for services are displayed before you confirm each transaction. We may charge convenience fees or markups on some services — these are included in the displayed price.

• Wallet funding is free — no deposit fees
• Service fees are included in the price shown at checkout
• We may change pricing at any time; changes take effect immediately for new transactions
• Vendor-side fees (e.g., network charges) are reflected in the final price

Automatic refunds

If a transaction fails after your wallet was debited, we automatically refund the amount to your wallet, usually within minutes. No action is required from you.

Refund eligibility

• Eligible: Failed transactions, unprocessed purchases, duplicate debits
• Not eligible: Successful transactions where the product was delivered (airtime, data, tokens, pins)

Disputes

If you believe a transaction was processed incorrectly, contact us at support@bilscore.com within 7 days with the transaction ID. We'll investigate and respond within 5 business days.

You agree NOT to:

• Use Bilscore for illegal purposes, including fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing
• Create multiple accounts to abuse promotions, referrals, or bonuses
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt our platform or the platforms of our partners
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without our written consent
• Impersonate Bilscore, its employees, or other users
• Provide false information during registration or verification
• Resell our services without an authorized agent agreement
• Attempt to use another person's wallet, credentials, or identity
• Use the platform from a jurisdiction where it's prohibited

Violation may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of balance, and reporting to law enforcement.

Users may upgrade to an Agent account to access special pricing and features. As an agent, you agree to:

• Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, including CBN agent banking guidelines
• Not misrepresent Bilscore to your customers
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions for your own compliance
• Pay applicable fees and taxes on your agent income

We reserve the right to revoke agent status for any reason, including suspected abuse.

All content on Bilscore — including logos, text, graphics, software, and design — is our property or the property of our licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services without our written permission. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.

We integrate with third-party service providers (PalmPay, VTpass, BilalSada, Twilio, and others) to deliver our Services. We are not responsible for:

• Outages, delays, or failures on their side
• Changes in their fees, terms, or capabilities
• Any loss caused by their independent actions or omissions

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and conditions.

Bilscore is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We do not guarantee that every transaction will succeed
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party information
• We are not responsible for any loss from factors beyond our reasonable control

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Bilscore and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Loss caused by unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence
• Damages exceeding the amount of the disputed transaction

Our total liability for any claim related to a specific transaction is limited to the amount you paid for that transaction.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bilscore, its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Services
• Your breach of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your violation of any Nigerian law or regulation

Termination by you

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@bilscore.com. Before closing, please spend or withdraw any remaining balance according to our wallet policies.

Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse our platform, our partners, or other users
• Fail KYC or AML verification

We'll notify you where possible and may allow a reasonable window to withdraw legitimate funds.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top
• Notify you via WhatsApp, email, or in-app notice for material changes
• Give reasonable notice before changes take effect

Continued use of Bilscore after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from your use of Bilscore will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@bilscore.com.
